Report

  1. Project coordinator Manca Kladnik gave a larger picture of the project; summarizing  the main points of the project. She presented a general timetable of activities (see appendix 5).
  2. Aims of the project (see appendix 2)
Partners agreed on the aims of the project.
  1. The coordinator introduced foreseen results of the project (see appendix 2). Partners discussed project results.
Decisions:
Partners change the word »accepted« into »integrated« in the first result.
Other project results remain unchanged.
  1. Partners discussed how to work together, what tasks to take over and which tools to use in order to implement the project.
Assignment of tasks:
·         The Italian team is in charge of e-twinning.
·         The coordinator suggested that every school creates a tab covering the project on their own website. All the partners agreed.
·         Partners agreed on creating a Facebook page on the project. The Romanian team will be in charge of it. All the partners will participate.
·         Turkish team will write an e-blog about the project.
·         Discussion on e-magazine takes place. The partners decide not to do it.

  1. Results and dissemination:
Partners decided to make three posters on project activities. The posters should be displayed in school partners’ Erasmus Corners. All the partners will contribute material for the posters. Slovenian team will design the posters and send them to all partner schools to print it. Partner schools decided on the following deadlines:
-Material will be sent to Slovenian team by 30 January 2017, 15 July 2017 and 30
  January 2018.
-Posters will be made by 28 February 2017, 15 September 2017 and 28 February 2018.

Dissemination will include producing bookmarkers by each school partner. Slovenian team will cover the costs of bookmarker production. The deadline for sending bookmarkers to Slovenian team is 28 February 2017. Bookmarkers will be produced before TPM meeting in Slovenia. Each partner school will receive bookmarkers on Slovenian meeting.

The final result of the project will be a book. It will contain information on activities depicted in an artistic way. The book will also contain a picture and word dictionary in different languages of partner schools. Romanian school will design the dictionary, pictures and other contributions sent by partner schools. This material will be send to Slovenian team that will issue the book. The same applies for video material from the activities that will be gathered by the Italian team. It will be added to the book in form of a CD.
During the project video material will be published on national websites, Facebook, e-twinning or e-blog.     

Each school will disseminate the project and it’s activities in their inviroment – school – Erasmus corner, local, regional, national - newspaper, radio, tv …


  1. The second project meeting is decided to take place in Slovenia from 27 to 31 March.

  1. School partners will use dropbox, emails, WhatsApp/Viber or e-twinning to share documents and materials as well as well as management issues.

Report

  1. Discussion regarding mobility of students, suggested by Italian team. Partners agree that Italian students can take advantage of mobility as they attend secondary school. Pupils from primary schools will not take advantage of mobility. If possible, students can stay at host families.
  2. The coordinator reports about a project event organized by the Slovenian school (see appendix) to give partners an idea regarding activities and events. Another idea is to organize workshops with different activities regarding cultural diversity.
  3. The video will be made of each conference meeting. The Turkish team will make the video of the first TPM in Sicily. All partners will contribute the material.
  4. Logo: Slovenia will make three logo suggestions; the partners will choose the logo. All partner schools can propose slogans.

EVENT 1
Partners organize an event; the topic is various traditional dances. Video material should be provided covering the events. After sending video material pupils and students have to learn a traditional dance from another country: Slovenia-Romania, Turkey-Italy.
Deadlines: 31 January for organizing event at our school and make video material for assigned partner to learn the dance
       27 February sending complete work of traditional dances event
Result: a video covering the event

Activity: making NewYear's Cards
Each partner school sends 5 greeting cards to every partner school. Cards should be sent before 20 December. Cards are exhibited.
Result: Greeting cards from different countries.

COFFEE BREAK

EVENT 2: Dada's Fine Arts Contest.
Partner schools send pupils and students' paintings to Slovenia for Dada's Art Contest. The paintings will be published in a catalogue and exhibited at OŠ Jakoba Aljaža Kranj.
Approximate deadlines: end of April to send paintings; main event at the end of May.
Result: paintings exhibition
Pictures sent from partner schools will be collected in a travelling exhibition that will be displayed at each partner school for 2 months.  

EVENT 3: Dissemination
Partner schools present Erasmus+ project on a local and/or regional level.
Temporary deadline: June-September
Result: material for dissemination


EVENT 4: Fairytales
Partners prepare an event regarding fairytales, combining it with music, dances, performance and later exchange video material and information including typescripts of fairytales. We will discuss this on the TPM meeting in Slovenia.
Temporary deadline: April-November
Result: pictures and video material

Activity: making up a game originating from traditional games

EVALUATION
Two levels: international cooperation and project evaluation
Evaluation topics: aims, result, methods, teachers and pupils’ involvement
All countries send their evaluations to project coordinator.
Italian team will provide support for evaluation.


Assignment of tasks:
·         The Italian team is in charge of e-twinning, evaluation support, a short video about the first event  and video material for the final project result – a book.
·         The Romanian team is in charge of Facebook and for making a picture/word dictionary for the final project result – a book.
·         Turkish team creates and writes e-blog about the project and creates a video of Sicily meeting
·         Slovenian team makes a logo, posters, bookmarks, final project result – a book, organizes art contest and writes the project evaluation.
In the future tasks will be assigned equally in agreement with all partner schools.
Each host country keeps a record of TPM.


Next TPM will be held in Slovenia from 27-31 March 2017.

DISCOVERING CULTURAL DIVERSITY WITH PUPILS AND THEIR PARENTS

AIMS:

  • ENCOURAGING TOLERANCE, MUTUAL ACCEPTANCE AND INTEGRATION OF MIGRANTS AND OTHER PUPILS BY DISCOVERING DIVERSE CULTURES ON THE LEVEL OF SCHOOL, LOCAL COMMUNITY AND SOCIETY IN GENERAL
  • discovering pupils' different cultures through various methods and activities and on several areas (music, dancing, cuisine…)
  • active involvement in project and school activities
  • improve knowledge and use of ICT by teachers and pupils
  • giving pupils a possibility and encouraging them to express their cultural identity
  • teaching pupils how to live in harmony with each other and helping them develop a positive attitude towards other cultures
  • making pupils aware that discovering other cultures broadens their knowledge and horizons given the fact that Europe is a mixture of cultures
  • being aware of changes in society (migrants, refugees…) and developing positive attitude towards them
  • exchanging good practice through international cooperation
  • including pupils, parents, teachers, school workers and local community into international cooperation
  • disseminating the project on local, regional, national and international level


RESULTS:

·         Pupils feel better and integrated; they become more successful. School atmosphere improves.
·         Parents and local community are more connected to school.
·         Successful cooperation with partner schools.
·         Awareness and knowledge of different cultures and nationalities, and a positive attitude towards them. Tolerance increases also towards all marginalized groups.
·         Tolerance towards migrants and refugees.
·         New knowledge and experience acquired in an active way (songs, dances, alphabets, customs, holidays, cuisine…).
·         Working together will result in pupils making new connections between themselves.
·         Pupils and teachers have better knowledge of ICT and use it more frequently.
·         Various project materials are produced to disseminate the project. The final product is a collection of project material in form of a book.
·         Implementation of good practices used by partner schools.
